East Arm, Darwin based water company NT Beverages will today commit to a $50,000 sponsorship for a year, to NT Athletics to encourage fitness and health programmes in the Northern Territory.
NT Beverages CEO & Managing Director Mr. Hugh Jones said that the sponsorship is closely aligned with the company’s soon to be released product, Akuna Springs.
“We are delighted to offer this level of support to a Territorian organisation demonstrating our commitment to the local community and encouraging NT Athletics to use these funds towards club development opportunities,” he said.
NT Athletics has grown its membership from 700 to almost 1500 in three years, the association has recently started two new clubs and is proud to include world class athletes amongst its members.
Mr. Jones added that it was great to have the Athletics Track located at Arafura Stadium, named the ‘Akuna Springs Track’ for the Athletics NT events that occur all year round.
NT Athletics President Mr. Kevin Mulvahil said “I welcome the generous sponsorship package and I’m looking forward to developing the relationship between NT Beverages and Athletics NT. This is great news for our members and our clubs and this will assist us to grow even more in terms of our membership base and providing opportunities for our athletes.”
NT Beverages Limited is a public, unlisted company founded and based in the NT in 2014. The company has built a $14 million bottled water facility in East Arm, Berrimah in the Northern Territory (NT), with the artesian water source located in Acacia Hills, 50kms South of Darwin NT.
